Offside Indicator Problem

Postby Simon.Blackburn » Wed Feb 29, 2012 8:14 pm

Hi Huys. My Offside indicator works fine for a few days then all of a sudden it'll stop working completely which causes the side & rear one to flash much quicker. Then maybe the following day, its working fine again.

Its not interference due top the auto headlights.

I don't think its a bulb fault because it does sometimes work.

So maybe I was thinking it was either a dodgy relay or maybe a bad bulb socket.

Can any experts help please?

My 2003 megane has had this problem for years. I took it to the garage whilst under warranty thinking it needed a bulb. I was lucky enough to see that the mechanic just turned the bulb housing and it worked. 8 years on and never had to change a bulb and when it goes just turn the bulb holder and hey presto. Hope it helps

Sounds like a common fault with the bulb holder. Could be worse, could be dodgy wiring.
