I've just noticed this on a photo of the car i haven't collected yet - the passenger side outer lever for adjusting the seat height has snapped off - there is nothing there.

Has anyone else experienced this, plus can a replacement be easily sourced and fitted?
thanks

I have the same problem with my drivers seat on my hatchback but as yet haven't found a solution other than a small piece of plastic pipe over it. I suppose a trip to the breakers yard might provide a replacement but not sure how easy it is to replace as haven't tried dismantling the seat plastics yet.

replacing it isnt that simple, the whole mechanism thing runs through the WHOLE seat, so it would probably be better to replace the whole seat

Hi Guys, think i may be able to advise here... as i said i haven't collected the car yet and the dealer has phoned me today about this (amongst other) problem.

Replacement of the part is possible, however it requires the seat facing to be removed... from what i've seen elsewhere on this forum it appears to be relatively straightforward to remove. The seat does have to come out though to access where the part fits. The dealer has told me that he's removing the seat, and that a mechanic can't sort it - so it's off to a car upholsters to do... along with the seat tilt cable which had apparently snapped at some point.

Hope this helps, i'll report back when it's done but he estimates a week so i still can't have the car yet !! :(((

Why don't you ask him to send both seats to the upholsterer to have the damage to the drivers seat rectified at same time?
