i was wondering if anybody knew if its a common fault for the lights to go behind the heater dials?
i put a new stereo in a few weeks ago but found myself jamming it in because there was so much wiring on the back. i ve now switched back to the stereo i had before and have noticed the lights not working.
any ideas on fixing?
thanks

Re: heater dial lighting.
There are 2 bulbs situated behind the selector dials. To get to them remove panel at the bottom (pulls off). Remove the radio and compartment below too.
Remove 2 screws from the bottom and the 2 screws from the side(just inside the front fascia).
The front fascia will then pull off.
There are then 4 screws to be removed 2 on the left & 2 from the right.
The dials can then be moved out.
Make a note of the dials position, so it will marry up when re assembling.
The front can be eased off once you prize the securing clips off slightly.
Point the front slightly down so the springs on the selector dials don't come adrift.
Once removed you will see the 2 bulbs in the middle of the unit, turn the lights on to see if they work.if not replace with led's as they are much brighter (t5) led's.
