Megane cc 1.6 start up problems

Hi guys,

Been having a problem the last few days with my megane (05) cutting out when cold and only stays slighty idle when warmed up.

Well today I was taking back to the garage in Derby to get it fixed. So I clicked the keypad and the central locking opened the car, but when i came to start it it just clicked and a warning came up for the roof saying fault, refer to manual. I found it strange but I went to get the manual and tried to lock the car. The central locking wouldn't work and then a loud clicking started happening in the fuse box in the glovebox, so I took the central locking fuse out and it stopped. I put the fuse back in and nothing happened so I put the spare card in thinking it could be the card playing up but to no avail as the instrument panel lights kept flickering along with the speedo needles and then it said there was a steering lock fault. tried to lock the car again but the fusebox began clicking again. Now it has locked the boot and the driver door but the passinger door is unlocked without pressing the keypad as that only sets the fusebox clicking again.

Just checked the clock and it has lost 40 mins?

Anyone one else had a problem like this?

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

Many thanks Ray, I really do hope its just a dodgy battery. I shall check when I get home.
