Air Intake Loose....

Postby ikhan » Sat Jan 14, 2012 5:21 pm

The air intake pipe has come apart near the battery. I tried push fitting it together but no luck. Then I had a garage do it but it seems to have come apart again. From what I can tell, it is suppose to push fit together, but is there some sort of clip that holds it in place or am I missing something? Not easy to access so I'm looking for some pointers as well please. I think it might be drawing in warm air when he engine is hot so I'd like to fix it as soon as possible.

TIA

if you are on about the pipes that run from the front panel under the battery tray and into the bottem of the airbox they are secured together only by locaters on the pipes. you could put a small screw in it where they over lap to stop them coming apart.
to get to the pipes you are best to remove the battery

Thanks.. wanted to avoid removing the battery, but it makes sense to do so. Thanks again.
