just been recovered wiper issues

whilst on a trip back from dundee to dorset i got to bristol and ended up in pooring rain with my wipers going weird then finally stopping, pulled over and had to be recovered they work slowly on auto and middle but no 3rd/fast

they work but then after a minute or 2 they jusdder and stop or just stop, in all positions

recovery man seemed to think issue with stalk is this right and how do i fix it?

anyone cars us until i can solve this as cant get stuck in rain on a 50 mile commute everyday, there back working on all but the fastest level they jus stop dead if you select that, but not keen on trusting them etc.

if it judders, i'd look at the wiper motor

works ok other times ough mate so dont think its the motor but wont work on position 3

I have heard that that rotary if not working this can play part in other functions on this not working, my wipers packed up one day, started the next very slow to begin with. So bought motor, the next day they were working again.

My rotary is knackered so thats reason for mine i would say, cos i defo aint the motor. So yeah it could be the stalk or behind the steering wheel
