Happy Christmas everyone. A couple of hours ago the Service light and Airbag symbol light started showing, along with a 'Steering Not Locked' message. When I start the car I notice a distinct 'thunk' somewhere behind me - it sounds like the central locking or perhaps dead-bolt engaging sound. Can I still drive the car safely for the next few days until the dealer re-opens after Christmas? or is there some sort of reset that I can do?
Many thanks

Re: Service Light and airbag light appearing
if you've a 3 door, try the cable under your drivers seat first. it's possibly loose.
both are common problems on the site.

Re: Service Light and airbag light appearing
Thanks I'll have a look in the morning for a loose cable. BTW, it's a 5-door.
Re: Service Light and airbag light appearing
I had a look under the driver's seat and saw the clip/switch mentioned in other posts. It wasn't loose, but I gave the wires a wobble anyway and it seems to have fixed the problem
The warning lights have disappeared and steering lock is back working.
Thanks a million.
