Dead Sidelight Bulb

The sidelight has gone on the passenger side and having looked through the owners manual and Haynes manual, which both make out that it's a doddle, I can't see how it can possibly be done without stripping off loads of bodywork.

The headlight looks relatively simple, but there's no way on earth I can get to the sidelight. I can't believe that Renault could be so thoughtless. The bulb only cost 42p but it looks like I'm going to have to take it into the dealer now and pay some ridiculously astronomical price.

I have a 1.5dci 106 dynamique (2007), by the way.

Has anyone else had to change a sidelight and can they advise how they went about it and how much it cost.

can you not access it through the port hole in the wheel arch same as the head lights?

Nope, it looks impossible without removing bodywork.

I managed to change the sidelight bulbs using the access hatch on my 2005. No other way of doing it other than dismantling the front end.

Perseverance usually pays off with jobs like this
