Fuel light staying on

Hi
Ive done a search and nothing seems to be coming up so thought i would ask you luvvrrly people :cool:

Ran low on fuel after a long trip yesterday its not the first time the fuel light has come on though,put £40 in tank started car up and BEEP!! fuel light is on and wont go off the trip computer is stuck on range and wont change either

and dont get me started on water through speaker and underfloor storage wet lol

oh yeah its a 55 plate 1.6 Authentique :cry

Ive done that before but it resets after you stop and start but this has been on for 2 days now driving me nuts :banghead :banghead

stop the car, take the card out but dont lock it. put £10 of fuel on the car. put the card and fire it up. it should be ok...
