Fitted the monroe shock absorbers on monday after work . Guess what ! The anoying rattle is gone !
Drives like a dream now !

FOUND THE RATTLE!!!

Quite a concern as it went through the MOT with this fault and PASSED.

The bottom bolt of the offset steering hub mount at the bottom of the front strut had 'worked loose'.
There was no play in the steering at all. But frightening to think what could have happened if it had come out completely.
