Windows fixed..and not regulators!

Postby Dwabo » Wed Oct 05, 2011 3:10 pm

woohoo...got my windows sorted..thought it might be the dreaded regulator fault... my windows just gave up yesterday..drivers window fully down and wouldnt go back up..passenger window also not working...
windows both stripped down and control modules I think were to blame.. cleaned up and sorted and all working now..also something to do with them not being earthed???
anyway..2 fully working windows and less than a £100... just!

Wahey, makes a change. When mine went i called Renault and complained. They offered to pay 90% of the cost which was handy! If anyone elses regulators go, ring renault first as it's a known problem!

Yeah the regulators are a well known problem and also fully advertised on here in various threads. Renalt pay 75% of the cost leaving the customer around £100 to pay per window. This is for cars up to 7 years old.
