i have been looking through the site but there are bits everywhere and i can make sense of it so please help me as dont want to put into a stealer and pay loads if i dont have to

i have a 55 plate 225

got the car few weeks ago, was told about the lights and that it was a common thing so didnt bother me to much, but the lights are now lol

was reading on here last night and read bout the steering lock...... tired it today and thats not working either........................

so service light on, airbag light on and steering lock not working... are these all linked??? is it to do with wires under seat? what wire`s are these? any pic`s so i no what to look for?

serice and airbag is usually the cable under the drivers seat.
steering lock isn't good. search the forums.

Been out had a look about a wiggle of wire's but lights still on!

if the switch on the steering lock is gone, will this bring on service light and airbag light??????????????????????

yep...do you ear a click sound while steering?

no noise when driving at all, only hear click as if the wheel is trying to lock but cant

will this switch fault be picked up on dianostic ?????

Hi, if there is a problem with the cable under your seat , which is a very common problem basically your service light will come on ( to tell you to take it to a garage) this cable is something to do with your airbag so be careful. the steering lock will not function as a safety step. this was what i was told by a mechanic. it happened to me, and occasionaly it still does when i move the seat after my wife has driven the car. when it does happen i reach under the seat and give the wire a random wiggle, it works i think it is a common fault that the connection isn't very good and works loose. hope that helps you??

am going to unplug everything under both seats then plug back in see if it works but dont want anything else happening

is it best i dissconnect battery?????
