Hi,
i came out of work tonight to find my passenger window down! after trying to get it up using the buttons i gave up.
when i go home i put my fingers between the water seel and could feel the top of the window. after a few attempts the window came up when the deadlock was pressed... does this mean its not the regulator? or could it still be?
Renault UK will be getting a phonecall on Monday!!
Thanks for anyone who can help

Re: WINDOW! INTERIOR BUTTONS WONT WORK BUT WORKS USING DEADL
Regulator AND Wiring looms are known problems with Meg 2s. Doesn't matter what Ren UK say. I've been there, eaten the cake etc.
If your car is under 6 years old. Ren UK are offering a discretionary warranty repair for a contribution of £100 from yourself. This offer expires at the end of August. They're not advertising it for obvious reasons. They've got a real problem with reputation.
Best way is to call Ren UK and be upbeat and positive about how the car is fantastic other than this annoying problem. Then ask them if it is true that they're offering a discretionary warranty repair on window regs and looms subject to a contribution of £100 from the client. The answer should be 'yes' and you can take it from there.
If your car is under 3 yrs you should get a full warranty repair. If it's 3-4 years Ren UK issued a unpublicised extra years warranty on the elec windows. Notsure if they're still doing this in light of the current offer of £100 contribution on vehicles up to 6 years old.
I have unfortunately changed all my OE regulators and motors on every door in the last 5 years with non Renault parts so I couldn't get my latest two failures done under the current scheme. I argued the toss that, I didn't remove the OE items for fun, they were removed due to failure. Would they really expect me to drive around for two years with window operation? No I'm going to get them changed at lowest cost due to lack of warranty on these items.
So I hope that your is an OE item.
Hope the above helps.
