headlight adjustment

hi there i got an 07 plate megane running hids and the beams practally aiming to drivers but when i pop bonnet to adjust the lights the left one doesnt want to adjust it drop by a mil them bounces back up any ideas whats to blame?

check the headlamp adjuster is fitted into the back of the headlamp properly and that the ball and socket inside the headlight are installed correctly and the bouncing you describe means the motor has run out of manual adjustment. my bet is that the ball on the end of the motor is against the socket on the back of the lense rather then being in the socket. or it's been snapped of by someone trying to fit it.
