Hi

I have a 2003 Megane 1.9 Diesel i was wondering if anyone could help me. I was driving the car and the wipers came on and the hazard lights came on constantly but not flashing, the car was running fine but when i came to turn it off it wouldnt switch off so i had to disconnect the battery. When i inspected the car i found water in the engine fuse box, i dried it out and the car ran for a few hours then when i was approaching a junction it cut out and wouldnt restart. it now says electrical fault on the dash the imobiliser light is flashing and wont switch off.

Ive also spotted that the brown plug in the fuse box in the engine looks like it has crossion does anyone know what this is for, can you buy them seperatley or is it the full loom.

any help would be very much appreciated.

cheers, Danny

Just take all of the electronics out, clean up the connectors, dry everything thoroughly, grease it and put it back

I doubt you can buy the plug separately. I also wouldn't fancy replacing the loom - wires go all over the place. Personally, I would try VERY hard to fix it, rather than going to all that hassle. One option is cut a connector off a scrap yard loom (leave about 100mm of cable on it) then remove yours and scotch lock it (or better still solder it).
