Hi I hope someone can help. I have a 2005 1.6 VVT Megane Saloon. I am trying to scan for faults as the "service" and engine problem lights are displayed. Everytime I try to scan it comes up with a link error message. I know its connected properly, but as its a key card system the dash lights are only on as the car is started. So how do you make sure the ignition is on but the engine not started. Inserting the card on disengages the immobiliser!

Thank you so much. Now I have the fault code. PO340 which says Camshaft Position Sensor A - Bank 1 Circuit Malfunction. Does that mean the sensor is shot? If so do you know where it is and is it easy to change? Many thanks for your contribution so far.

So both using the same fault finder and both get the same fault, are you having problems starting the engine?
