Re: mpg display
UK versions (imperial MPG) don't show instantaneous consumption, where as European Meganes (Metric L/100KM) do, weirdly.

Re: mpg display
have been using average mpg but wanted to know if it can be modded as the car must work out instant mpg to get the average.

something to do with the calculations/conversion formula used. don't know why renault didn't put it in when other manufacturers do. maybe lack of space onn uch to store the code

Re: mpg display
the UK cars doesnt have that feature? didnt know that..
well, if is important maybe is worth a try. with the CLIP software or an universal OBD computer you can choose an other type of units to be used, in this case the SI un its, maybe that way you will have that feature available.

Re: mpg display
What if you change the instrument panel readout from mph/miles to km/h/litres which you can do by pressing button 3 or 4 on the end of the wiper stalk and start button for about 10 seconds it will change to km/h would this then give the instant litres/per km? just an idea

If it doesn't work.
Just do the same it will then revert to mph/mpg, its a system for when driving abroad.

Re: mpg display
I tried that on my Megane, didn't work.. may be programmable via CLIP according to the workshop manual though as there are a few parameters which can be set on the dials.
