Indicators being a pain!

Postby limraaaah » Wed Mar 09, 2011 12:57 pm

So i found the other week when locking my car that the right read indicator was dimmer than the left. Then, when indicating right at lights etc it would tick normally, but when i would brake (put my foot on the foot brake) the right indicator ticks double speed. I've replaced the read indicator light to no avail. Still double ticking. Only when i'm braking.

Also when i brake normally (no indicating) my right brake light doesn't come on, instead the right indicator lights up acting as the brake light!

My car is confused :S :( help!

(Its an 05 16v 1.6 Megane II)

Thanks!

Checkthe grounding(-) cable for the rear cluster.

May have some corrosion and need cleaned.

Help the exact same problem last week. What i did was remove to light cluster, disconnect the connector plug and found very slight corrosion on one of the male terminals. Removed this with a sharp knife, reconnected and hey presto. Hope this helps...
