The Mégane II Owners' Club

Renault have told me that my cold starting problem on my Megane 1.5dci is being caused by a faulty aircon sensor.
This sensor has not workrd for over a year and i have had the cold stat problem for 2 months.
They have now charged me £220 for a recharge and new sensor.
Does anyone Know how or why this sensor causes starting faults because the mechanic just said it sometimes does

My aircon pressure sensor has not worked for 2 years I have no problems with my 1.5 dci
aircon pressure sensors are £35 from ebay and a doddle to fit

and... I hate to break it to you - Kwit Fit have an offer on to re-charge the air/conditioning for £25....

err...problems with cold start caused by an air con sensor is new to me...the systems aren't even connected in any kind of form..
