Postby l3ogroll » Mon Dec 20, 2010 1:10 pm

hi there boys and girls i have a prob with my water jets pump...

on the press of the stalk you don't evan hear the motor but everything else is working so i know its not the fuse... it was all fine befor the cold weather!

thinking my pump is gone or the water around the pump is frozen
its been snowing and we are in freezing temps just wondering if anyone else is having this prob in the cold weather?

Hmm - the pump is likely to be fine provided you don't operate it too often with the plumbing frozen. Wait for a thaw and try again.

The temperature here this morning was -12C and this defeated my windscreen antifreeze. It also defeated the doors too. They were so frozen shut I had to crawl into the car via the boot.

I would be interested to hear what chemicals people are using if they are managing to keep their windscreen washers operable.

yeah it got to -4 an then kicked in again so it must just be the water at the pump blades freezing

Sweet! Lots of the 'mix yourself' stuff says 'protection to -46' or some such ballacks , but I reckon it would strip the paint if it were true.

Excellent! I shall get some. Has it faded the paint?
