Door storage compartment

I managed to snap the lid off my passenger side door storage compartment while removing in the dark to deal with a stuck electric window yet again. A local breaker has a Scenic in but no Megane ( mine is an 04 estate Dynamic) - Anyone know if a Scenic compartment is the same as a Megane?
Also, it would seem I'm getting water inside the door which is the reason the window stops working. I'm thinking of taping a plastic sheet between the door and the window electrics, has anyone tried this or can anyone suggest another method of waterproofing? Thanks.
