3 Beeps on Startup

Postby traineespark » Wed Dec 15, 2010 2:39 am

I have this prob with my 2005 megane....

Insert card and press start button... as car turns... 3 beeps come from the dash... the car starts....

The car ticks over at low revs then cuts out... it will continue to do so until u give it a few revs and only then it will settle.... then...

Sometimes intermittently while driving at any speed etc... i get the handbrake warning light flashing together with the STOP sign flashing... (it flickers and beeps... then disappears for a while... then comes back!)

Any Ideas...

ALSO.... New to forum.... Hi all!!!

Hi dude, I had the same problem with the 3 bowels, the problem was my child locks had got stuck, put your card in the slot, start engine, turn the child locks on/off (depends which they are on at moment) I noticed the light on the child locks button wasn't lighting up. When i had switched it on/off, turn engine off open back doors from out side, close car and double lock, do this again by turning the childlocks on/off opposite to the first time and repeat, that should sort that problem out.

I have started getting the second problem recently but I am still looking for an answer, my mot is due soon so if I remember I will come back and let you know

Hope this helps dude
