I have the same problem only in my case it doesn't dissaper even if I put the blower in max position...I've even kept it like that for 1/2 and hour...it dissapears for a while but then it comes back a little quiter...sounds to me like the fan's ball bearing is causing the noise...
Where is the blower located under the dash in case it would need changing?
btw, I know it's an old thread...

Megane II - KW Variant2 Coilovers, RS front, 17" Wolfrace, Custom 2.7" Navi , Custom center 7" Monitor, Custom "iDrive", Custom CarPC DSP, Custom SQ Audio System, etc.
I too have the same buzzing sound. The garage and i both think it sounds more like a dry bearing than a leaf.
But unfortunately the whole heating system has to be pulled out of your dash before they can get to the fan. A big job and too expensive for a someone just to see if they can see a leaf or grease up the bearing, they might as well just replace the fan. Which costs £130, plus labour, so it's going to be pricey.
I'm starting to think of alternative solutions i.e. Removing the pollen filter and sticking a vacuum cleaner into the hole, was one. Reversing the polarity on the fan so it blows the leaf out from where it came in. That is if it is a leaf! Obviously these ideas are just spawned from desperation.
Luckily for me my Renault Megane is a completely average Megane no different to anybody elses. It did need the Dephaser changing, it does have water ingress in the drivers door pocket, the toxic fume light has come on and needs a new camshaft sensor, it does feel really lumpy to drive when cold, it doesn't always start and probably needs a new TDC sensor, the clutch pedal sensor cable has had to be re-soldered, the dash makes lots of cute ticking and squeeking noises......... Like i said completely normal for a Megane II, as Renault UK have told me themselves.
I love it!

They are before the fans.
But mine was renewed recently in the service, and it was shortly after that the noise started. I checked down by the filter and there was quite a lot of leaves around the filter. I took it out and the new one was already nearly full with pieces of leaves. There was also a slight tear in the pollen filter (this may have been caused by me trying to get the stupid segmented thing out!).
It not completely unthinkable that the garage didn't bother clearing up around the filter before removing it, and maybe a leaf ended up on the wrong side when the new one was put in.
I don't know i'm just grasping at straws, and hoping it's not my fan on the way out.
