Postby eddie32 » Sun Oct 17, 2010 2:56 pm

Hi fellas,

New to the site, iv had my megane for 3 years now and had no problems up until now !! :mad

Just a few things if any one knows ?

1, Procedure for changing the rear disks (i know these also house the rear bearings )

2, Do i need to replace the fuel filter or will it be ok ?? (been told it may be in the fuel tank and to leave it)

3, keep stalling when cold, could be throttle body ??

Any help would be great !!

the fuel filter is not a normal servicable item on the 1.6, it's inbuilt into the pump and should last the life of the car.

for the rear discs the trick is that you have to push the caliper back in and turn it at the same time with a special tool or improvise with an appropriate screwdriver lever, i'm not sure whether this is clockwise / anticlockwise - someone else can confirm or do a search.

On the stalling issue start with cleaning the throttle body.
