Right Side Front Indicator Problem

Postby Lemming » Sun Sep 05, 2010 11:36 am

I have a Renault Megane Dynamique 2005 model and I have a problem with my front indicator, bulb was replaced 2 weeks ago and the indicator worked fine but now the indicator has started to play up again, when I switch the indicator on it it doesn't work outside but inside it sounds as if the indicator is working as I get the normal clicks before it starts clicking constantly as if the bulb has blown. Have replaced the bulb again and nothing changed - any suggestions? :(

I had the same problem and it was put down to the bulb holder and not the bulb. £15 at the Stealer should sort out this annoying problem for you. It did play up again after a few days but this was put down to a loose wire and since then I've had no problem at all.

I agree. I've replaced a 'blown' bulb on mine 10 times only to find that the bulbs are perfectly fine. There is a post somewhere about bending out and shining up the contacts on the bulb holder and inside it.
Since access is so difficult it makes sense to try to clean the contacts while the damned thing is out of the car.

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!
