MY 04 megane wont' start!!

Hi there i wish someone can help me,
yesterday after driving 20 miles, stopped at a cafe for 5 mins and came back to my car. boom my car won't start. suddenly all the lightings and wipers start to work like mad things.
When i press the start button a click is heard - i think is the steering immobiliser unlocking, but the engine won't start, it's doing the same thing all over again...
I'm suspecting that power is given to the onboard computer but not to the engine...
Has anyone had this type of problem before please???

Dreaded electrics! Possible water getting in under the windscreen (common problem).

Diagnostics? someone else here might be able to offer a little more advice.....

either water in the electrics...check the headlight bulb access hole on the passenger side inner wheel arch is firmly sealed.
if you haven't driven thru water or not rained recently then it will be just the battery is duff. If it's still the original then it's time to get a new one anyway.
