Car is 2004 Megane, 65000 miles, 1.6i.
My ECU has thrown up a DF119/DF080 Camshaft Dephaser Circuit error last week, I've since had the ECU reset and reprogrammed but the problem keeps re-occurring after driving for 20 minutes or so. I'm well aware of the dreaded Dephaser problem and just over a year ago I had the dephaser pulley replaced (cost circa £500 at a non-Renault dealer), so you can imagine I'm fuming at the thought of paying out again the sort of prices one year later. I've also had the TDC sensor replaced about 6 months ago, but I can't remember if I had the camshaft sensor replaced.
Basically, I'd like to know a couple of things if someone would be so kind:
1 - Is there any danger in driving the car with the fault? I've got a fairly important weekend away coming up and I'm relying on it.
2 - Legally, where do I stand if the dephaser was replaced just over 1 year ago and is faulty?
3 - Seriously, is this just a computer issue?
Many thanks, hope you all have a happy shiny weekend
