boost pipes that don't appear to go any where

hi i have a 2003 1.9 dci manual

when searching for a dropped nut down the back of my engine i found to small rubber hosses tuckeed behind the starter motor. they appear to be boost pipes by the thickness of the walls and at the other end they both go to a sensor located a bit lower down than the under bonnet fusebox and on top of the gearbox. i have some photos of these on photo bucket.

all the boost pipes what come from the turbo waste gate and vacum pump are all in there right places by the looks of things so its not them.

They look like they are coming from the boost solenoid which should connect to the vacuum near the manifold.
Maybe someone else can direct where exactly they are to go,but thats what they look like.
Is your car boosting ok?

Don't know if this helps but here is an old picture of my engine bay:

The pipes do a lot more than control the boost.

hi thanks
that is a great help i now know which direction the pipes head in as they clip on the air intake pipe and there is a spare place for one to go on what i thought was the boost solonoid which is bolted to the intake manifold now i just need to find where the other one goes now i am thinking maybe the vacum for brakes.

I think you would notice if there was no vacuum brake assistance!

The bit bolted on to the right hand side of the camshaft is the vacuum pump (braided pipe to the right of letter D). The object labelled A is the vacuum reservoir. That's all I know. Hope you get it sorted.

hi yes there is one boost pipe which comes from my vacum pump on the end of the cam shaft which goes to the boost solenoid that is mounted to the inlet manifold the pipe that comes out of my turbo waste gate comes to a t junction and on end also goes to the vacum resevoir and then comes out the vacum reservoir to go to the solenoid mounted on the intake manifold and the other to the pipe which comes from the intercooler to the inlet manifold (i think its some shut off flap in this pipe near D). on the solenoid which sits on the intake manifold there apears to be a spare connecter for another boost pipe to go which i am geussing is one of the loose ones i have and i arnt to sure where the other ones go.

thanks.

If I get a moment, I'll have another look at mine to see if I can draw a schematic of the vacuum lines. Have you searched for a similar thing in the online manual section?
