Megane - Laguna Catalytic converter ?????

Does anyone know if the cat off a laguna 1.9 dci will fit onto a meg 1.9dci ????
I think it will but dont want to buy it if im wrong because that would be more money down the drain and thats not good!!!!
Any help please .

I think (and my memory is terrible) that the catalytic converter on diesels is not mandatory - especially for the MOT which measures only a smoke test and not NOx or CO2. It might work out to be less expensive to remove the cat and fit a de-cat pipe. I don't know the exact legal requirements either, but you might want to look into it.

To add to the above, you do have to have one in place, but the only checks about it is the emmissions and a physical viewing.
If you were to fit something like this in the link, they will never know.

You'd probably gain 1 or 2 bhp along the way.
