Hi Folks, Hoping you can help. During the cold snap my wife tried to put her front driverside window down but it was still partially iced up round the edges so the actual window didn't move. After a bit of a thaw she notice that the window wasn't going up straight.
I stripped down the door & the cables had came off their tracks. Eventually managed to sort out the birds nest but when assembling it all back together I noticed at the motor end that the 2 plastic ends of the cables which also have springs had been cracked & the majority had broken off. This meant there was no guidance or tension for the cable to follow & what ended up happening was the cable was snagging and pushing out the motor housing. Ended up having to jam window up with some blocks of wood.
The actual motor still has life in it but will I need to relpace this or only the regulator as the cables have minor kinks in them but my main concern is the plastic ends/spring section.
Hope I've made my explantion of the situation clear(ish).
Many Thanks.
Is it the Regulator or Motor ?
