Radio has stopped working again...

Arghh, as well as crashing the Meg in the snow today the radio has stopped working. Didn't drive it over Xmas so yesterday was the first time in a few days. Anyhows, the radio doesn't switch on - I've experienced this before and got it fixed under warranty. Bl**dy thing's gone and done it again. Any idea why this keeps happening?

Its because it's cold. Give it a few days.

The wifes Clio did this the other day.

Take the fuse for the radio out and wait about 30 seconds and put it back in. Turn the radio on and it should ask you for the code.

On some models (like mine for example) you'll need to unplug the radio, or take the fuse for the console out to cut the permanent current to the radio unit (including the display on the dashboard). I prefer to unplug the radio (hate to fish for the right fuse).

I wasn't being sarcastic. Sometimes they don't switch on because they're cold, and sometimes the display doesn't work but the radio does. I was merely suggesting that before you do anything drastic, see if it starts working again when it gets warmer.

see here mine did same today, took out radio, reset it, put code in and is now fine
