Electric Window Not Working.

Has anyone else got an electric window that doesn't go down. I know one other person this has happened to, so it's not just me. The motor works but nothing happens. Got a feeling it's an expensive problem. Typical when it went in for a service it worked for the day, they couldn't find anything wrong with it but packed in on the way home and hasn't worked for the last six months. Any advice please let me know. At least it's winter now, embarrasing in multi story car parks though.

door card off
disconect regulator (motor)
atack with hair dryer for like 20 minits
seal with electrical tape
reconect
test
replace door card.
job done. did mine 3 month ago and its been fine ever since.... and given the weather recently that is brilliant!

as above i had the same problem , it will most probably be the regulator, its a common fault , try 24 /7 spares on line , i went to a main dealer and they were quoting me silly money (Good luck )
