I have a 57 reg Megane, on friday the clutch was changed under warranty after only 16000 miles.
Today there was an almighty crunch and the car veered to the left, the drive shaft has come out and there's oil all over the engine bay. Luckily my wife with 17 month old baby was only doing 20-30mph, if she was doing 70 it could be a very different story.
I'm just after some advice before the garage recovers the car tomorrow, as I'm guessing - like with the clutch they'll try to get out of repairing under warranty.
Thanks in advance for any replies

Re: Clutch renewed
They cant, the drive shafts would have been removed to replace clutch. So down to garage.

Thanks, so what's likely to have gone wrong ? fault or mechanic not doing job properly.

Re: Clutch renewed
Im sure they should be circlips on end of shafts if it has fallen off, on not been pushed home properly it would come out. So I would blame mechanic. I would make a big fuss contact head office.

Re: Clutch renewed
SInce the driveshafts have been removed to replace the clutch, it's safe to say that if one of them has 'come off' then it would be the mechanics to blame! The oil that has come out, will be the gearbox oil.
