Poor Air Conditioning performance?

Postby MéganeDynamique » Wed Oct 28, 2009 5:50 pm

Over time, my air conditioning has got really loud, and I've noticed other people mentioning this too.
Well today, after reading the Haynes manual, I bought a new pollen filter (£14).
It sits behind the plastic cover at the base of the centre console, in the drivers footwell, to the left of the pedals. Haynes say it should be changed every two years, and when I removed the old one I found that it was the original one that came with the car (which is six years old). Now...I dont even notice the air con kicking in and the air is colder! I'm over the moon...just a shame it's nearly winter!

It's a cheap part and I'd really recommend changing it, it's made a massive difference to my Mégane.

The original one  I thought that the schedule stipulated that at one or more of the services they were supposed to change it.

Funny, I thought my aircon was just poor when I bought mine... (Thought it was because I am in Africa, and the aircons may be build for Europe, no offense, it is hot down here!!!) and each year, my aircon gets better and better, and today, it is as it should be... haha, just the opposite
