auto lights

my megane lights are on constantly even in daylight ,when the auto lights are are activated! i have of course cleaned the area of glass around the sensor (windscreen) i did have a prob with the light stalk, the internals pulled out, i reassembled it and it works perfectly well now ,turns on off ect and engages the auto lights is there a way or reprogameing the sensor or putting it back in sync any help would be gratefull
