** Problem **

Postby joelovely » Fri Oct 16, 2009 9:30 pm

Hello,
My renault megane 1.5 dci is on a 04 plate and the problem i am having atm is when the car is reaching 70 MPH and the revs are around about 3000 to 3500 RPM on the little screen on the dash it keeps popping on the service light along with the message " CHECK INJECTION " the car is still under warranty and has been to the garage 3 times, the first time i took it in the said they had checked all the electrics and they were fine, 2nd time it was in they said they had changed every sensor on the car, and i got the car back this morning and they told me the timing belt that was replaced on the car was 3 teeth out and that was the problem. but suddenly when i reached 70 MPH i keep getting the same message. Any ideas.

Thanks
Joe

Computer diagnosis is the answer. Pay someone for this or connect your own laptop. Then note the problem codes or, if this does not help, record the engine parameters while driving. Then post the plots here. I use ELM327 interface often found on ebay cheap.

Just select all parameters in the ScanMaster programme, which comes with ELM327, and drive.

I had the same problem all be it on a 1.9 and not at 70mph, its turned out it was a dead glow plug, might be worth checking its dead easy and there is a really good guide on here
