Hi all!

I have just bought an 04 CC 1.6 Dynamique. There have been a few 'issues' that I have come across since buying it but I have found most of the answers here. However one of the problems I have I can't seem to find an answer for. I have searched and found that some other people have had the same problem but I can seem to find an answer. I am hoping that someone has found out what it is since these posts were done a while ago.

Does anyone know why the car beeps three times when started?

Hi,

My partner has an 07 Peugeot 307cc (which I believe shares some if not most electronics from the Megane) and it sometimes does the same. It usually tells you why it's beeping on the radio display, sometimes reminding you to fasten your seat belt, sometimes low fuel or oil, or sometimes warning you that the outside temperature is below 3 Celcius (therefore possible ice on road).

Thanks for replying Andy. I have looked through the manuel and there is no mention of any beeping when the car is started. Also there are no messages displayed when it happens. This is what makes it a little frustrating as I can't find a reference to it anywhere!

Oh right I'm sorry I can't help much more, hope you get it sorted...Just give Renault a call and ask them.

The only other thing I could think of is maybe there's a fault or it's due for a service? In both these cases a light would show on the dash though.

check your tyre pressure dude.

I checked my tyre pressure and they are all spot on.

I was hoping that someone might of come across this issue before.

Im sure i read somewhere before that the beeps when starting were something to do with the alarm back up battery not charging correctly. This is just off the top of my head though, and could be about a different car altogether!
