Toxic fume warning light

Postby Isaac Hunt » Fri Jul 24, 2009 8:30 am

Hi all.

My wife is out driving and just phoned me to tell me she has this error up on the instrument panel.

Any ideas what the cause of this is.

I am getting sick to death of fixing this car.

Thanks

Just to add.

She said it goes off but if she gets above 30 it comes on again and feels like the car is chugging slightly.

Please help

Isaac - basically petrol (presume its a petrol car) is getting into the exhaust system as its unburnt. This is because one of the cylinders is n't firing - this is as a result of the coil pack - aka spark plug has failed.

Search this website for toxic fume and you'll get all the info you need - straight forward, relatively low cost solution - your dealer/local garage will expedite easily

Hi.

Update.

I called out the AA as i didn't want to drive it and they replaced coil number 4 for me and now it is back in business again.

Thanks
