The Mégane II Owners' Club

Hi,

Iv just bought an 06 megane 1.4 16v sport. But it was a cat D write off, wasnt much but it needed a new radiator and air con grill, and also a new boot door amongst other parts. Its all done now but there are still a few problems,

With the boot i cant open it using the key card. When i press the button on the card the lights flash and i can hear the relay switching, so i think thats fine, but when you press the push button on the door, it doesnt unlock it. Iv checked the button electrically and its fine, but im not getting voltage to the switch. Can anyone please tell me where this voltage is supposed to come from or where i can get some wiring diagrams as i havnt got a manual or anything.

Also the air con and internal fans do not work, iv checked the fuses but there all ok. When you press the button for the ar con the light does come on but nothing out the fans, also the same with the internal fans in that when you turn the switch, nothing comes out the vents. Can anyone please let me know where these are supplied from? and where any relevant fuses/connections are.

does the fan work on setting 4 only ? is so then it's just the resistor which is behind the panel below the glove box. Ff it's the fan motor then this is a glovebox out job.

Fixed the heaters, turned out the plug connection into the resistor bank had burnt out, i simply transferred the connection into the other slot on the multicore plug. Works fine. Thanks for your help.

Does anyone have any ideas about the boot? or where its wired from?

Assuming it's not the common moisture issue (your electrical tests seem to rule this out but check this post viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10954 ) I can send you some pages from Renault's workshop manual that may or may not help if you PM your email address.
