Rear wipers

Hi i am new here and just bought my 2005 1.5 DCI megane a few days ago.

I have done a search but could not find anything about it, But i just wanted to know something. I am pretty sure somewhere that when you put your car into reverse that the rear wiper does a single wipe. But mine does not seem to do it? Maybe i miss read something.

Also is the Rear wiper automatic like the fronts?

front wipers have to active for rear to work in reverse, and no the rear is not automatic
