fuel filter

hi guys,just changed fuel filter but cant start car,plenty diesel,but o fuel in pipes,prob a lot of air,can u help please,clock ticking :?1.9dci

Hi Heavygoodsman,

Did you prime the filter after you refitted the filter bowl to the car using the hand priming bulb located on the RH side of the engine bay? You need to squeeze this black bulb by hand a few dozen times to prime the filter bowl. once primed the bulb will become solid as it is full of diesel

It is normal to see a few air bubbles in the pipe straight after changine the filter. These will self-bleed out quickly.

thanks for that,no didnt but then realised i hadnt,but then too late which got me askn on here,i take it it takes a while to get it back up,looking for easy way to pressurise system now,any ideas?
