Airbag Light On - MOT Failure????

hey does anyone know if the airbag light is on when going through MOT will they fail the car?

Not sure on that one? :conf

Check the electrical connectors under both front seats as this might be the cause of the air bag light being on?

Hi Mark,

According to https://www.motester.co.uk/mot-qanda2.html Airbags are not part of the MOT Test. I've seen this on two websites now so hopefully will be the case for you.

yeah, your dashboard could be lit up like a christmas tree and it wouldn't fail it's mot.

Actually dude i phoned my local MOT center (N.Ireland - Belfast) and they said there is only one dash board light they fail on and thats the ABS light! My MOT is tomorrow night and my airbag light is on.

On a different note, does anyone know how to change the High Level Brake Light on the back window? Hand book says to take it to the dealers but i dont want to pay those robbing B@$t@rd$ anything.

well, ok yeah abs because that's a safety feature...
