Alarm keeps going off

Hi.

I have a Megane 1.6 dynamique

I have had problems with my alarm keep going off. It's really annoying and i imagine the neighbours are getting annoyed with it. It doesn't happen all the time, just certain days it decides to play up and sometimes i have to sit in my living room for hours on end with the keycard in my hand and turning it off quickly through the window before it beeps too many times.

I have noticed i have a stutter on start up with the engine aswell and was wondering if this is linked in with it at all?

Please help it's driving me crazy.

Does it start first time every time though.

I am having the same trouble only something is killing my battery aswell, even when i take the battery out to charge it decides to carry on sounding for another min..very annoying and cant get to the bottom of it.

It doesn't always start first time.

It's odd.

i press the button it makes the starting sound then sort of pauses/hesitates then carries on starting and all goes well.

With the alarm i lock the doors as usual and it can keep going off every 10 minutes and then will be fine for days on end and then just kick off again.

It's happened on the drive/supermarkets everywhere.

Very very annoying.

The battery might be on it's last legs so have it tested, also check/clean the connections.

If the battery is able to start the engine afterwards (300A), then surely it can handle the alarm current (0.01A when silent).

It is a brand new battery.
