other than that 48 MPG is great a think i was getting about 30 MPG in my MG ZR an that was a 1.4 and it didnt matter if it was abused or driving like a oap lol :)

The highest MPG I've got in my 1.6 is 99.9 MPG! I think I could have gotten higher but I believe that's as high as the MPG counter will go! The lowest is around 7 or 8 MPG. Of course hypothetically the highest "could" have been obtained after resetting the trip computer and then while riding the clutch in the first lane of a downhill section of M62 motorway. At the moment I am only getting around 30 MPG at best but I've not had a servicing or oil change in quite a while which will soon be rectified and I'll report back and improvement. Previously on average I got around 38 or 39 MPG at best. A lot of my driving is done in slow rush hour motorway traffic. Sometimes a first gear 5mph bumper to bumper crawl.

Here in the UK we just have Average MPG though so we can never know instantaneous fuel consumption unless we reset the trip computer while driving at a certain speed or style and then check after a few secs what the reading is. Instantaneous fuel consumption is something we should all look for when buying a new/newer car its very handy to know instantenous MPG.

I mainly use motorways, and on journeys averaging between 70- 80mph, i usually get around 55mpg, which I think is fantastic!!

I have now done 1400 miles in my meggy and have got 46 mpg (according to the computer) in that time.
My commute to work is 15 miles each way and I crawl in traffic for about 3 miles of the journey.
I have done 2 return trips of 130 miles and may have had a heavy right foot finding out what the car is capable of.
Overall I'm reasonably happy although I my previous car was a clio dci 80 which I never got less than 60 MPG not matter how I drove it and it certainly wasn't slow although no where near the pace of the meggy 130.
