sorry cant help, think he was talking about connections at the headlamps themselves which will be to provide power to motor used to change the beam height from the switch inside the car, however, if you can see your beam moving up and down when you turn the switch from 1-4 then they will be connected. only mentioned it because if work has been carried out on the headlamps (change bulb) then you need to look at all possibilities in that area
A, bulb not fitted correctly (reasonable idea)
B, Beam levelling system disturbed (wiring disturbed by big hands at the headlamp)
C, Height disturbed (ham fisted tech pushing to hard causing things to move out of line)
As for which way round to check, thats upto you, but visual check usually a good one, do both bulbs look to be in same place from outside? if one is wildly out could be as i had and a bulb is not set right, alternativly both may look odd ie pointing upwards (they should look horizontal)
when inside car with lights on can you see them both move up and down when you move the height level selector, if there is no movement then the levelling system is pooted or connection fallen out at headlamp, if one moving well you can guess that one,
now we have not really done much but i would suggest to try raising the beams with the allen key to see if when the bulbs fitted a bit of heavy handedness has caused them to slip in the mechanisim. (after moving up check they move when adjusting the switch in the car aswell)
It is always worth if after having work carried out, when something is not right after to restrict fault investigations within the area where the work was carried out, trust me i have spent 22 years repairing faults in big electronic systems and after someone has had their great big hands in somewhere and a fault pops up its a safe bet they have disturbed something or not done the work correctly.

correct BM

I managed to check on thursday evening that the levelling adjuster was still working fine, and both beams are about the same level, so either both or neither bulbs are mis-aligned, so for the time being I've dug out an allen key and adjusted them up slightly, we'll see how that plays out
Re: Headlamp Alignment
Open the bonnet & just above each headlight there is a small access hole which with a torch shows a posi drive screw head. Rotate either direction to adjust up/down. Easiest way is to face car agains garage/wall on a level surface and adjust in line (Not to much) then take it for a test drive.

Re: Headlamp Alignment
dont know why the allignment would be out on both unless when the bulbs were changed, the lights, both somehow, wernt fixed into the plug properly and now face downwards. what happens when you move the beams up? have a look under the bonnet and take the bulb out and put it back in yourself. its easy. you should have a dealer closer to you than that. as i say, have a look at the bulb yourself.
Re: Headlamp Alignment
I had the same problem and have managed to changed the drivers side bulb with a screw driver under the bonnet, but when i turn the passanger side one it does not move the bulb up and down it just makes a clicking noise, anybody know why??
