Haha, no improvements would ever be made if we all left things alone!
Only took them off because the car had been idling rough, however this turned out to be the intake manifold and valves coked up.
Checked all injector pipes and they were clear and kept their seal well, so i dont think thats the issue.
Head is back on anyway, car is much smoother and running better, however its still fecking smoking!
Tried running the egr in, still no joy. So whether or not my injectors are at electronic fault and over fuelling i dont know. I'll get them checked out, but not sure if they check electronic problems. Almost seems as the injectors are not releasing pressure, fuel is coming in, but not going back into the leak offs (checked them and they're new anyway).
Other than that, can a bollocksed cat cause excessive smoking? I know they reduce the carbon bla bla, but i think its a bit much for it to be that.

In my opinion the cat being defective would not cause excess smoke. Are the injectors in their original positions? Do you have a DPF fitted?

Re: 1.9 Dci Wont Start - After injector removal SOLVED
Hello, i can safely say problem solved!
Injectors were the problem, i replaced the two that i had been suspicious of and the smoke has gone!
I still think the cat has issues as the car feels like its boosting, but less than it should, and with the amount of smoke coming out, i wouldnt be surprised if its now fooked.
Leaving it for now but i'll be decatting it when i can get around to it.
Does the 225 decat pipe resemble the shape i need near enough? Might be easier then to have it just slightly fiddled with to fit.
Thanks for your help anyway guys
