Hi,
just had windscreen replaced; auto wipers not working now.
1) Is the rain sensor behind the rear-view mirror cover?
2) Anyone know how to check/re-fit or replace the silocone component that allegedly causes this problem?
No hurry, off to change yet another headlight bulb, so I may be gone some time...

Re: Automatic Wipers
1. yes
2. it is some kind of special gel required to fix the sensor to the screen properly. Haynes manual recommends you dont tackle it yourself, surely whoever replaced the windscreen is responsible.
for the headlights I use osram longlife they have a 3yr guarantee...developed for cars who's bulbs are difficult to change
