My 225 Trophy gives around 28mpg around the doors. If I drive like me mam it will hold between 32 and 34 (but its fairly hard work pressing the throttle that lightly!! I cant maintain that for long periods lol ;) )

Be interesting to see what it manages once its been tweaked. :grin

I've just part exchanged my 1.5 dci 100 Sport Saloon, after 30,000 miles trouble free motoring. I zeroed the trip computer when I bought it and never touched it again. The final average fuel consumption for the whole 30,000 miles was 57.6 mpg. That's three miles to work and back every day and occasional longer runs - probably 80% plus town work. Fortunately I work flexi-time so don't have to battle through the main rush hour.

Just taken delivery of a new 1.5 dci 106 Sport Saloon. I hope this does as well, but I had heard the Euro IV diesels are a bit thirstier than the Euro III ones.

I took my sister to Cardiff last weekend. Enjoyed the drive with the roof down and still managed 71mpg with the aid of cruise control. The return trip was not as good as it droped down to 58mpg. Now after doing the work comute for a week it droped to 54mpg.

Very proud of my little motor

This weekend did. Scarborough - York - Newcastle - York - Scarborough.

Busy A roads, speeds ranging from 20mph to 90mph and congested city center driving speeds of 1 to 30mph.

274 miles covered and end of trip average of 50.9 mpg.

Better than i thought so quite happy :)

Haven't had my Megane for that long, but have managed to get a number on the fuel consumption - see my signature. Mainly city driving commuting for me (there is a reason why I bought an automatic :D ), although I have some long trips occasionally.

I have had my Megane Estate (54 plate) for 3 months now and after every fill-up I re-set the odometer and watch my MPG figure always. It has really helped to make me a slower driver. It has the 1.5 Diesel engine and between fuel stops on a motorway doing a steady 65 MPH average I have got up to 78 MPG, but when I turned off the motorway to come the last 8 miles home cross country, it dropped down to 67 MPG and over the whole tankfull dropped to 64 MPG.

I always get above 61 MPG from a tankfull, it stays higher for ages, but nearer the bottom of the tank it suddenly gets harder to make the average give a higher figure, easy to average downwards though !!!!

Fantastic fuel economy, shame about all the electric faults I keep getting !!!! Windows, alarm, usual Megane stuff. Has put me off the car.

This weekend did a 356 mile round trip including York and Lincoln city center driving with a day trip to Skegness thrown in.

Just got back with these figures -

42.1 average speed
7.1 gallons used
49.1 mpg.

To be honest im a little dissapointed that the mpg is not in the low 50's as i was driving really carefully. Next time im not going to bother

Posted my results a few weeks back, but recently had a full service and found my average has gone up slightly to approx. 63 mpg over each tankful.

For the first half a tank I can get the average up to 65 mpg...but it becomes harder to get the average to rise during the second half of the tank. I rarely get to use a motorway, this is all around country lanes and main roads. I rarely travel at greater than 60 mph , but it's the steady coasting along and looking ahead to save braking that really increases the figure.

I did try a tankful without having the MPG reading in front of me all the time and my average went down to 55 mpg even though I thought I was still driving the same !!!!

Every car should be fitted with this gauge.
