megane 2 fast idle

hello all
i have a problem with a megane 2 1.4 16v it idles to fast (about 2000 rpm) no fault codes stored
the throttle valve is clean and opens and closes fine
i can't find any air leaks
the front o2 sensor voltage switches ok
rear sensor voltage is staic no fault there
map sensor voltage rises and falls as the pedel is pushed (engine running)
any ideas

Just to add a reply, I had the exact same problem and it was the throttle body that needed cleaning. I know you have said it is clean but have you actually cleaned it as mine looked okay but had a thin film of grease on it which I wiped off. It made all the difference and that 2 minute job has changed the car totally and is so quiet I couldn't believe it.

thanks but the throttle is as clean as a whistle i cleaned it in the vane hope that it whould cure the fault but no such luck

Stab in the dark: coolant temperature sensor?
Silver 08 plate 5dr 1.5dci Dynamique 106 Tech Run (re-mapped)

Red 03 plate 5dr 1.9 Dynamique dci120

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!

coolant temp sensor output fine cheers i'm starting to think air leak? does any one know what kind of gasket there is between the head and manifold? rubber o'rings or paper gasket.
