Clutch causing electronic failure

Postby bangbang » Mon Sep 13, 2010 9:11 am

Hi

My clutch has not been starting the car for a while, told the common fault was the wire has broke.

Took car into Renault for a few things(coils, sensor) and asked them to sort out the clutch too, but they failed. They reset my ECU/CPU/EMS as faults kept showing up when there was no issue, this solved that.

The guy said the clutch is an easy fix, then i read here it was easy too! BUT i soldered the wires back, and taped over them, and all was fine.

10 miles down the road i get an electronic faulure warning and service light.

I pulled wires apart and then the warnings goes.

Its not the biggest problem in the world, but I prefer to start of the clutch than the break.

any ideas whats causing the fault?

Hi

any ideas on why putting the clutch wires back togeather is causing an electronic fault display on the trip computer screen? Renault are asking £95 to put the wires back togeather, and said no error should come up! so lost what to do, unless i hand more cash to them.

thanks

you've reversed the wires accidently?
